Sarudzai Mabvakure and Janine Dube; Two Zimbabwean Women Doing Their Writing Quietly

The Zimbabwean has a review of Sarudzai Mabvakure's book, A Disappointing Truth – The Tragic Story of Sarah Witt. Another Zimbabwean writer, Janine Dube, has her book, A Dark Horizon, reviewed on the New Zimbabwe site. To these two Zimbabwean women doing their writing quietly, congratulations.

Ms Mabvakure, for a writer who has written so much, your modesty is very admirable. The Good Book says he who that exalts himself shall be humbled and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.

You deserve exaltation since you have worked tirelessly for it. There are some characters that have written a few miserable pages and yet make a lot of noise way out of proportion with the size of their works. You are the polar opposite of that.

I will get your book once my workload subsides. It may be the only 700-page book that I have read, by the end of the day.

May Divine Providence continue to shower you with blessings.
